Hedrick, IA - Larry H. Heninger, 87, died May 26, 2023, at Addington Place in Fairfield, Iowa. He was born October 9, 1935 to Carl D. and Lulu F. Jones Heninger North of Martinsburg, Iowa. He attended Heninger country school through 5th grade, Martinsburg School till 8th grade and graduated from Hedrick High School in 1954. On February 8, 1956 he married Marcia M. Zellers at Finley Avenue Baptist Church in Ottumwa. He farmed in the Martinsburg area all of his life. He served in the Iowa National Guard from 1959 - 1965.

He was a member of the Hedrick/Martinsburg United Methodist Church and The Good Time Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marcia on October 20, 2021, sister Pauline Shipley and brother Carl Heninger.

He is survived by his children: son Terry L. (Mary) Heninger of Libertyville, Iowa and daughter Patty J.Brubaker (Bryan Wood) of Sigourney, five grandchildren Amanda Heninger of Iowa City, Ben (Alisha) Brubaker, Daniel (Jessica) Brubaker of Sigourney, Travis (Melissa) Brubaker of Sigourney and Ashley Heninger of Fairfield, 11 great-grandchildren Kaleb, Kolten, and Klayton Brubaker, Maleah Dickerson, Dayton Gutierrez, Owen, Mason and Wyatt Brubaker, Emersyn and Beau Brubaker, Tyson Posh.

Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 1, 2023 Hederick-Martinsburg United Methodist Church.

Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
