Columbia, Missouri - Lincoln Richard Rhinehart, age 75, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Fremont, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the Harry Truman Memorial Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on November 12, 1947, the son of James and Mary (Wilharm) Rhinehart in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He attended Fremont High School and graduated with the Class of 1966. After high school, Lincoln served his country in the United States Army from 1966 until 1969. After his service, he attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa. On June 10, 1967, he was united in marriage to Louise Upton at the Fremont United Methodist Church.

Lincoln began his working life at McCurdy Seeds and later went to work at Cargill until his retirement. He was a very avid golfer and enjoyed watching the squirrels in his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Ann Rhinehart of Columbia, Missouri, his children, Michael (Sherry) Rhinehart of Iowa City and Matthew (Alee) Rhinehart of Columbia, Missouri, four grandchildren, and his siblings, Mark (Joy) Rhinehart of Pella, JoAnn (Jo) Rhinehart of Des Moines and Sally (Jeff) Norton of Des Moines.

Lincoln was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fremont United Methodist Church in Fremont, Iowa, with Pastor Todd Holman officiating. Burial will take place at the Cedar Township North Cemetery just north of Fremont. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with Lincoln's family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening to greet relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Fremont Community Church.
