Creston, Iowa - Michael "Mike" Spaulding, 77, of Creston, died Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home in Creston. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the family to be determined. Online condolences may be made at www.powersfh.com.

Michael Joseph Spaulding was born January 22, 1948, in Rock Island, Ill., to Richard "Dick" Myles and Virginia Josephine (Spaulding) Myles.

On May 10, 1976, he was united in marriage to Ruby Davis in Ottumwa, Ia. He lived in Detroit, Mich., for several years working as a truck driver after completing courses, before moving to Iowa in 1989. He lived in the Ottumwa and Eldon area working as a roofer, and later retired from Hill Phoenix in Keosauqua, Ia. He later moved to Creston to be closer to his daughter. Michael was a member of the Abate organization.

Survivors include his children, Billy Baugher of Fremont, Ia., Michelle (David) Spaulding of Creston, and Nicole Spaulding of Fremont, Ia.; 8 grandchildren, Lucas (Erin) Kopp, Shea (Megan) Baugher, Jacob Duffy, Devon Danger, Hunter (Dakota) Brooks, Zeb Duffy (fiancé Emilee) Alexis Danger and Haiden Kopp, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Ruby Spaulding, brother, William Sweet and his parents, Virginia Myles and Richard Myles.
