Des Moines, Iowa - Patricia Lee Spencer, age 83, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Loveland, Colorado. She was born September 24, 1941, in Nebraska to Carl and Lucille Davis. She married Bob Spencer on January 25, 1969, in Wahoo, Nebraska. Pat worked with Bob as women's basketball assistant at Parsons College, William Penn College, and Fresno State University. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Spencer (Jeff Riddle); sister Kay Abbott (Dave); brother Dick (Lane) Davis and their daughter Darby; sister-in-law, Carol Mayberry; nephews Greg (Deb) Pederson and Jeff (Rita) Pederson; nieces Lori (Jerry) Smith, Julie (Gordon) Hall; and a host of other nieces and nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob on August 30, 2020; her parents; sisters Connie, Carol, and Mary; brothers Doug and Jeff; nephew Perry (Rene) Pederson; sisters-in-law Earlene Davis and Rosemary Thomas; and brother-in-law Dick Spencer. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on August 23, 2025, at Oak View Cemetery in Albia, Iowa, with Rev. John E. Sowers officiating. Attendees will gather at the Tharp Funeral Home at 11:15 a.m. prior to proceeding to the cemetery. A luncheon will follow services at the First Christian Church in Albia, Iowa.
