Reva Joann Mills, 74, of Batavia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her niece's home in Huron, South Dakota.

A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Batavia Cemetery. Memorials in Joann's honor may be made to Hospice or cards may be directed to 601 5 th Ave E, Oskaloosa, IA 52577. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joann was born August 9, 1949, the daughter of Porter and Mary (Earls) Pratt. She married Warren Mills, February 8, 1978. He preceded her in death, April 18, 1998.

Joann worked as an Avon representative for 35 years. She loved socializing with the ladies in Batavia while out on her bi-weekly stops. She also worked as a night auditor at the Super 8 Motel in Fairfield for 13 years up until she retired.

Joann attended Sunday School at the Christian Church in Batavia and would often tell stories about the time she spent there as a child. She enjoyed cross-stitching, playing cards with her family, and collecting dolls. She had a "larger than life" personality which often made her the life of every party. She had the most boisterous and infectious laugh and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Joann is survived by her daughter, Tina Droz of Batavia; son, Timothy Downing of Iowa City; grandchildren, Dusty (Camden) Schwartz, Bryce Droz, Jacy Droz, Trey Downing, and Tristan Downing. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog Scruffy.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers; Glen, Gerald, Manly, and Floyd.
