Richard D. Beach, 90, of Fremont, died Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Northern Mahaska Specialty Care, Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was born March 28, 1928, in the Tioga neighborhood of Mahaska County, Iowa, the son of Irvin and Grace Taylor Beach. On November 4, 1954, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Fielder in Ottumwa, Iowa. Richard enjoyed his many years at John Morrell until its closure, then on to Summit Crest Farms of Fremont, where he retired from. Richard was a proud Veteran of the Korean War and he always enjoyed reminiscing with other Veterans. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Richard enjoyed the time spent with all his grandchildren.

His family includes his daughter Denise (& Mike) McBurney, Oskaloosa; two sons Dennis (& Deb) Beach and Darryl (& Vicki) Beach all of Fremont; two sisters: Wilda Miner; and Velma McKie; grandchildren, Richard, Melissa, Misti, Tiffany, Kyle, April, Steven, Molly, Scott and several great grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Richard will be cremated with no visitation per his request. A private family burial of the cremains will be at a later date. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
