Thomas C. Ford, age 62 of 2150 265th Street , Fairfield died at his home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
Tom was born September 13, 1954 in Fairfield, the son of Max J. and Eva Mae Boyle Ford.
He grew up and lived his entire life in the Fairfield community. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1973.
He worked as a machinist at Rockwell International ( later Meritor) in Fairfield and John Deere Works in Ottumwa and was a member of the UAW.
He married Phyllis Bales on May 25, 2012 in Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Max Ford Jr. and 1 sister Ann Boysen.
Surviving are his wife Phyllis, 1 son Kyle Ford and signifigant other Jerrica of Fairfield,2 daughters : Stephanie Humble and husband Jamie of Batavia and Lynn Carnes and husband Wayne of Ottumwa,2 step-children: Darrell Roberts and Deana (Brad) Horney of all of Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren and 1 brother Jim Ford of Fairfield and Linda Williams of Birmingham.
Cremation has been accorded. There will be no funeral service at this time.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 23rd from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be directed to Tom's family.
