Tierra "T" Sue-Meschelle Stansberry, 18, of Ottumwa, died June 13, 2016 in Los Angeles, CA as the result of a fire.
She was born August 11, 1997 in Ottumwa to Christopher Gene and Kristina Jo Ward Stansberry.
Having attended Eddyville High School, "T" was a very giving person who had a spunky personality and was always putting others before herself. She was emotionally strong, loved to laugh and was full of life.
Surviving are her parents, Kristi Stansberry (Jamie DeWees) and Chris Stansberry (Kim Roberts) both of Ottumwa; siblings, Josalyn Stansberry, Ellee DeWees, Landon Parker and Aliceson Roberts; grandparents, Ray and Connie Ward of Rutledge, MO, Kathy Swindler of Ottumwa, Rick and Karen DeWees of Ottumwa; great-grandmothers, Marilyn Shipley of Ottumwa, Bonnie Ward of Memphis, MO and Marjorie Ward; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandmother, Sue Mason; great-grandparents, Berniece Mason, Lawrence Ward, Lloyd Ward and Joe Shipley; and an aunt, Heather Ward.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Fiedler officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
