With heavy, broken hearts we are saying so long to our kind, loving, and generous son, Tristan Chad Zimmerman. Everyone knew him as Chad.
Chad was born May 31, 1986, in Whiteriver, Arizona to Larry and Ocelia Zimmerman. Chad's laughter and radiant smile brought happiness to those around him. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with that smile. He attended Pickwick Elementary and graduated from Eddyville-Blakesburg High School. He attended Indian Hills Community College and received an accounting degree.
Chad worked at the Cafe and helped with the family-owned restaurant, he was a dedicated employee, but more of a dedicated son who stuck it out with his dad. But he had the opportunity to leave and try another occupation at Tri County. Chad had an awesome wit and loved to make people laugh. He loved the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing at the hydro or local ponds, and camping. His latest projects were creating crafts out of license plates and his talent was evident in the pieces he created.
Chad was a man of faith and a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Chad's love for his family was boundless. Being with his children brought him his greatest joy. He was a loving husband and father, always placing their needs above his own.
Chad leaves behind his wife, Shayla, a daughter, Emberlynn, and a son, Maverick. His parents: Larry & Ocelia Zimmerman, siblings whom he loved but liked to tease: Christopher (Madi) Zimmerman, Drew (Adam) Carr, and Sam Zimmerman; a niece, Ida, and a nephew, George; Grandfather, Lyle Zimmerman and in-laws Marion & Dianna Husted. Chad will also be leaving behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam & Rose McCabe, his cousin, Jacob McCabe, grandmother, LaVerne "Ruthie" Zimmerman and father-in-law Douglas Hill.
As we mourn the loss of our beloved Chad, we also celebrate his life and the many ways he touched our lives. His compassion, creativity, laughter, and love will forever be etched in our hearts. Till we meet again, Chad, we love you.
