William  McKittrick
William Darrell McKittrick, 84, of Ottumwa, passed at 5:39 p.m. November 11, 2019 at the home of his daughter in Morning Sun, IA.
He was born April 9, 1935 in Ottumwa to Lawrence Henry and Elnora E. Robinson McKittrick.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a MP during the Korean Conflict. He earned a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and a Sharpshooter Badge. William had worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown and was an over the road truck driver most of his life.
He loved fishing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Darrell McKittrick of Davenport, Tammy Faulkner of Morning Sun, Cindy McKittrick of Buffalo, Sheri McKittrick and Patricia Agnew both of Davenport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Penniston of Mesa, AZ.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Shirley Buck, Beverly Cloke, Robert McKittrick and Lawrence McKittrick Jr.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob "Beagle" Beghtol officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery with military services conducted by O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion and Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The family will be present one hour prior to the service Friday.
